Effective 7 October 2026. This replaces the Virtual Fitting Room policy dated 26 November 2025.

AI Frame is the Shopify app for Virtual Try-On and Size Chart. Heritage Fashion LLC-FZ (“AI Frame”, “we”) runs the app, the storefront widget, and this website.

1. Who decides

On a merchant’s store, the merchant decides why shopper data is used for that store. AI Frame processes it to run Virtual Try-On and the Size Chart for them.

A Fit Profile is different. The shopper saves it with AI Frame, on a checkbox, and it is not shared with the store. For that saved profile, AI Frame decides.

2. Shoppers

A try-on uses a photo the shopper uploads, so we can show the merchant’s product on that photo. We do not use the photo to recognise who the person is, and we do not measure the body from the photo.

  • If the shopper does not save the photo, we do not keep it as a profile. A try-on result cached for a faster repeat on the same product expires after 1 day.
  • If the shopper ticks Save, we keep the photo for faster try-ons next time. The checkbox says what that means: stored in the EU, not shared with the store, not used to train AI, and you can delete it anytime under My Fit.
  • A size recommendation uses measurements the shopper types, or an estimate from height, weight, and age they type. If they do not tick Save, that estimate stays in the browser for the visit and is not written to our database. A saved Fit Profile stores those measurements with the same promise as the photo.
  • We also keep a consent time, an anonymous ID in the browser so a saved profile can be found on the next visit, and technical logs (time, store, product, request ID) so the try-on can run and we can fix failures.

The widget does not ask a shopper for a name, email, or payment card.

The render is labelled as AI-generated. Making it sends the photo and the product image to our image provider for that render. We do not use shopper photos to train a general model, and we do not sell them.

If the merchant has connected Klaviyo, a successful try-on can send an event with the product name. The shopper’s photo is not included.

3. Merchants

Shopify gives us the store, the account that installed the app, and billing for the plan. We store the merchant’s Size Charts, widget settings, and usage (try-ons, Size Chart opens, add to cart) so the admin can show their own numbers.

A Klaviyo connection is optional. It uses the merchant’s Klaviyo account. Disconnecting it stops those events.

When a store uninstalls, Shopify asks us to delete that store’s app data, and we do.

4. This website

virtual-try-on-size-chart.com is a Shopify store we use to explain the app. Shopify may set the cookies a store needs to load the pages. If you email us, we use that message to reply.

5. Where it lives

Shopper photos and try-on images are stored in Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm). The app database and the app host sit with our infrastructure providers. The image step that creates a try-on can run outside the EU for that request. After that, the image we keep is the EU copy.

Providers that handle this data for us:

  • Shopify
  • Amazon Web Services
  • MongoDB Atlas
  • Vercel
  • Google (image generation)
  • Klaviyo and Intercom, only when a merchant connects them

They process data for this service. We do not sell personal data. When data has to leave the EU, we use the safeguards the law requires, including standard contractual clauses where they apply.

6. How long we keep it

  • A saved photo and a saved Fit Profile stay until the shopper deletes them in My Fit. That delete removes the photo and the measurements.
  • A try-on result kept so the same product can be shown again expires after 1 day.
  • Security logs are kept for a short period, typically 30 to 90 days.
  • Merchant billing records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

7. Your choices

A shopper can delete a saved photo and Fit Profile in the widget, under My Fit. For anything else, email hello@aiframe.app. If the request is about activity on a store, the merchant can help as well, and we will help them.

People in the EEA and the UK can ask to see, correct, delete, or limit their data, and to receive a copy. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

8. Children

AI Frame is for adult shoppers choosing clothes. It is not made for children. A shopper should upload a photo of themselves.

9. Changes

When this policy changes, we change the date at the top. The 26 November 2025 policy described a try-on photo that was deleted within 14 days, and it did not cover a saved Fit Profile. This page is the one that applies now.
